Hello, For Honor players! It has been a while.
The game has been live for three months…and I can’t tell you how proud I am. It started with a dream and an idea—and today it’s not only real, but it is in the hands of an amazing community of players—you.
To see you all take to the battlefield with such enthusiasm: that is the true culmination of the dream.
Now that it is accomplished… what’s next for me? Some of you may have noticed that I have been quiet since the launch. There’s a reason: once we shipped the game, I needed to move on.
For Honor was the most personal, meaningful and challenging project of my life so far. I won’t pretend I’m not sad to let it go. But I am extremely proud of what our team accomplished, and am overwhelmed by your passion and for your dedication to our vision.
I’m planning a sabbatical, and then will look at what I’ll take on next at Ubisoft. More on that later. In the meantime, thank you all, and I hope I will see you on the battlefield.
–Jason
Your time at FH was not over yet. I wish you were still there.
Thank you Jason for birthing this game and all the work you gave it. My best friend and I have played it since the closed beta and we still play, for honor being one of our go too games on an evening when we get our headsets on and catch up whilst on the battlefield. There is truely nothing like the art of battle system, no game that makes me feel like a Knight more than this one. We’ll never forget our time with this game nor how much closer it brought us as friends (although we are admittedly terrible at 2 vs 2 matches) – thank you again :3.
